Spindle Spinning

I needed a change and thought I would try spindle spinning some fiber. I'm rather proud of the single that I am able to produce of this beautifully hand painted little spindle from Crowhill House Fiberworks. It's turning out to be quite nice change from the production spinning of my Minstrel wheel. The fiber is Qiviut from Moco Yarns. Almost reminds me of dryer fluff, or angora it's so very soft.

Hi, I envy your qiviut - I am working my way up to that - through Alpaca,Yak and Buffalo. I only learned to spindle spin a year ago after ten years of spinning on wheels [I have 4!]Now I find that my spindle spinning is more even and finer than that I have been able to achieve on a wheel. I like your fibre very much, your socks look really comfy!
